Just in case you didn’t hear — water on Mars:

NASA photographs have revealed bright new deposits seen in two gullies on Mars that suggest water carried sediment through them sometime during the past seven years.

“These observations give the strongest evidence to date that water still flows occasionally on the surface of Mars,” said Michael Meyer, lead scientist for NASA’s Mars Exploration Program, Washington.

Reading the AV Club’s review of Van Wilder: The Rise Of Taj, I came across this bit of plot summary:

On a mission to unstuff the stuffed shirts at Camford University, a small British college of the highest academic esteem, Penn arrives to a cool greeting from the campus’ snootiest social group, which treats his admission letter as a practical joke.

The plot itself doesn’t interest me — nor does the movie* — but that “Camford University” business is amusing, as if the screenwriters simply said, “There’s Oxford. There’s Cambridge. Let’s magically combine them to create a single fictional, won’t-get-us-sued location! Genius!”

I wonder in Taj will do his post-graduate study back home at Stanvard or Yaleumbia.

* The best Scott Tobias can say for the film, really, is that “it’s still shit, but with a sweeter odor than usual.” No thanks.
