That’s nice, until you take it in the context of the other cookie: “You are surrounded by fortune hunters.”

So I actually saw the Nightmare & Dreamscapes episode I was talking about the other day. It was really quite good. I worry a little about the rest of the miniseries, but this was a very strong start.
Update: Andy Duncan (via Gwenda Bond) explains pretty much everything I liked about the first episode, much better than I did. I still haven’t watched much of the second episode, “Crouch End,” but the few minutes at the beginning I caught didn’t give me any reason to hope Duncan’s assessment is off the mark. I’m looking forward to the rest of the miniseries, but I suspect that, like just about every anthology show out there, overall it’s going to be a lot of hit and miss.

Knock yourself out. Unlike some people — corporations, mostly — I think the only sections of a website that shouldn’t be linked to are the parts that are protected against outside viewing. You don’t need my permission, and you can link to any part of it that you like. Even the parts that are newer than late 2002.

It could be interesting, but I don’t know. I think I’m going to write a story about a world where everybody’s magic and a man who one day discovers his secret, mundane powers of doing his taxes, mowing his lawn, brushing his teeth, et cetera.
