Got some spam:

I am a regular visitor of your website http://www.unreality.net/weblog/archives/2002_10_01_index.html

Really? You regularly visit my October 2002 archives? It’s that post about what shoe size I wear, isn’t it? That keeps drawing ’em in.

I personally like the layout, design, and generally the topics discussed on this website.

Oh, well if you personally like it, anonymous person I’ve never heard of, that’s all that matters!

I own [lame spamming — oh my god it is shoe-related — website] which is completely different type website from yours,

No, really?

but I think my visitors would like your site as I do. If you don’t mind, can I add a link to your site from this page of my website?

Knock yourself out. Unlike some people — corporations, mostly — I think the only sections of a website that shouldn’t be linked to are the parts that are protected against outside viewing. You don’t need my permission, and you can link to any part of it that you like. Even the parts that are newer than late 2002.

With that said can you link back to my website?

Can, but obviously won’t. You’re a spammer. Traffic to spammer websites should be discouraged. Some might say you should rot in hell, but hey, I figure you’re just trying to make a buck. So you can go to hell…but you don’t have to rot there.
