Plenty of positions for managing editors (with something like 10-20+ years experience), but the editors they manage…well, if the want ads are any indication, they apparently never need to rehire them. Maybe they grow them in vats.

In this month’s issue of The Believer, Ani Difranco on her dreadlocked hair:

“I try to make the world a more colorful place if I can. But now, this is just an effortless way of indicating outwardly that I am not with the status quo. It just makes me more comfortable as I move through the world. I like to be in an airport surrounded by businesspeople and clearly not be one.

Just sharing.

You know, I can be pretty easy to please. I make myself a list, I accomplish the things on that list, and I’m happy.

Now if only the whole getting-a-job-in-a-new-city thing was as easy to accomplish as these five work items.
