I know I said I was going to stop short of categorizing my short film reviews by ranking, but I guess I lied to you. I’ll try not to let that happen again, honest.

In other semi-news, I’ve uploaded the most recent issue of the Monty Python Society newsletter, which features the more or less complete list of silly Pennsylvania state slogans. The so-called official new slogan will be announced tomorrow. (I can hardly wait!)

It’s interesting to hear conservatives phrase a constitutional ban on gay marriage as a “state’s rights” issue, since they’re effectively trying to prevent states from making that decision on their own. And could someone please explain what exactly is the difference between gay marriage and civil union?

I got a chuckle out of this: fellow capper GersonK sent me a link to the following cartoon. A few months ago, another fellow capper, Generik, mailed a copy of this one to me. I think I may actually be starting to enjoy “Zippy the Pinhead“. The archive is itself pretty keen, since it lets you search not only by date but by keywords, which is all I had for the second cartoon.

I just got some spam with the subject header “Last up to 10 huors in the scak!” Woohoo! South Carolina here I come!

I don’t think I would have done this if I’d known how time-consuming it would be, but the short film reviews in the sidebar can now be browsed alphabetically and by category, as well as chronologically (by which I mean the order in which I watched them). There weren’t quite enough films or interest to warrant a search function, and I stopped short of categorizing them by ranking, but I’m relatively pleased with how it turned out.

Of course, nobody ever wants to talk about the films, but that’s okay.
