A couple of weeks ago, I let you all know about an upcoming anthology of essays titled She’s Such a Geek looking for submissions. I hope some of you (the ladies) are considering it. The submission date is January 15, 2006.
Today, this time also courtesy of Boing Boing, it’s a £2,500 essay contest on What is Humanity’s worst Invention?
The snark in me wants to say something like “more humanity” — you know, all that begetting and babies and whatnot — but I’m going to go out on a limb and say the worst invention, or certainly among the worst, is that robot they used to replace Cher years ago.
Submission deadline for the 2,000-word-or-less essay contest is March 15, 2006.
