I’m not sure what happened. It didn’t start out feeling like such a long day. But since lunch, man, it’s just dragged. Maybe Douglas Adams was right about Thursdays. Maybe I really am getting an inner-ear infection (it feels sort of like I’ve got water in it, and it’s a feeling that won’t go away). Whatever it is, I’m just about ready to call it a day. But I’ve still got another forty minutes left. That hardly seems fair, now does it?
The good news is, I get the impression that the other insurance company is going to accept liability for the car accident on Tuesday. Which is good. My car suffered very little damage, but I was rear-ended, and the tailpipe is a little dented and might need to be fixed. I spoke with the claims adjustor on the other side and left a message with my own this afternoon. Someone, apparently, will be coming out within the week to assess the damage to my car. This is my first traffic accident as a driver — as passenger, I once went through the windshield, just a little, but that’s another story. It could have been much, much worse.
Now if those forty minutes would just pass…
