Oh, and speaking of Neil Gaiman, the Dream doll photographs he links to at the the top of this post are amazing…but also a little creepy. I’m not sure I want to know what one would do with such a life-size doll…
You think it’s life-size? I didn’t get that. I think it’s doll-size, else the contributor would have called it a statue or model rather than a doll.
It’s difficult to say. I took another look at the photos, and I’m still not sure if the background archway and lions are models. If they’re minituarized — and yeah, that’s probably more likely — then the doll is too, obviously.
Then again, there are creepy things like Real Dolls, which are life-sized. I was just really, really hoping this wasn’t that.
