Not only does it sound like ridiculous propaganda, the merit badge itself sounds pretty lame and too easy to complete.

So, um, despite my best intentions, subscribers and reviewers may be getting issues of Kaleidotrope before everybody else, including contributors. I think I can still guarantee that the rest will be mailed out before the end of October (i.e. next weekend), but until then…um, sorry.

Oh man, Terry Jones of Monty Python apparently has cancer. Luckily, his doctors think they’ve caught it in time.

I’ve read pretty mixed things about this second season of Doctor Who, and so far they’ve proved mostly accurate, but I do want to say this one thing, having just now watched it: “The Girl in the Fireplace” is pretty fantastic television.
