Neat. Fellow Penn State and PSSFS alum Jim Cleaveland has put his comic The Inexplicable Adventures of Bob! online. I arrived at Penn State midway through the comic’s run, so it’ll be neat to see some of these for the first time. Plus, Jim is promising new strips once he’s posted the original run.

It occurs to me, suddenly, that I’ve been capping for a little over ten years now.
Ye olde Friday Random Guess 10. In case you don’t know the rules: I post a lyric, you guess the song. Guess correct, be the envy of your peers. Ready? Good:
- Now the well’s run dry for me, so I must leave you
- Theater gets dark just to start the show
- Time after time doubt creeps in
- Ta na ta na ta na Ta na ta na ta
- You’re getting a bad reputation in your neighborhood
- We’ll wake up down in Mexico
- I’m weak-kneed and brainless
- Sometimes the sky calls
- I still wander this parapet
- You wave your hand and they scatter like crows
Oh, Amazon.com…you and I, we have such different ideas of what qualifies as an “essential video“.
I’d almost be tempted to rent — rent, not buy — the movie if the DVD included deleted scenes. Reportedly, Michael Palin filmed several scenes in which he portrayed an author visiting Meg Ryan’s bookstore, but they were all cut from the final film.
Speaking of Michael Palin, happy sixty-third birthday to the man!
“I’m only writing this blog entry about F&SF because I said I would to get a free copy of this sucky magazine.”
Well, that’s not true. I’d really like a copy, and there’s this weird, limited-time offer going on. Sure, they turned down my story, but they turn down lots of stories, and that’s okay. They’re a good magazine. Rejection breeds character, makes one a better writer. Hey, I’m not bitter. 🙂
Now let’s see if I actually manage to get a copy. Found via Shaken and Stirred.
