Two people came upon my website (or one person came upon it twice) yesterday by searching for “the toils of this world will seem as nothing”. For some strange reason, a short story I wrote for an astronomy class my senior year is number one in Google’s rankings, probably due in large part to Google’s decision to ignore half of the words in the search string as too common and its inability to deliver anything when it looks for the entire phrase. Does anybody know if this is a quote from something and, if so, what?

My boss is out of the country in Italy. Someone who knows this sent him an e-mail late yesterday asking him to complete a form and send it back today. I cannot complete the form on my own, and there is a six-hour time difference between here and Italy that makes contacting my boss somewhat difficult. When I called, his hotel suggested I try again at seven o’clock their time. The person who sent the e-mail is also unavailable and will apparently remain so until at least two o’clock our time. E-mail sent to the address specified bounces back.
None of this, I realize, is particularly important or interesting. I’m just venting.
