“Nice ‘N’ Sleazy” by the Stranglers
We came across the west sea
We didn’t have much idea of the
Kind of climate waiting

“Miracle Drug” by A.C. Newman
He was tied to a job selling miracle drugs from his home,
At his door every morning, a trophy arrived with the dawn,
With the following inscribed:
“We’ve followed you with interest for some time.”
“Comfort Eagle” by Cake
“Know Your Rights” by the Clash
This is a public service announcement…with guitar!
“Popular” from Wicked
I’ll admit to not being overly impressed with this musical, which I saw a couple of years ago through work, and which disappointed me in completely different ways than the original novel. But I think this is easily one of the stand-out songs, especially in this, the original version by Kristin Chenoweth. It’s clever bubblegum fun.
