Things that amuse me: finding the word “quality” misspelled in the phrase “quality control.”

But, then again, it also amuses me that one of the actors in NBC’s new deep-sea-monster show, Surface (which I’m not watching), is named Lake. So, clearly, I am easily amused.

Judging by today’s Writer’s Almanac, I’d say Garrison Keillor is maybe a Bruce Springsteen fan.

If Amazon can make recommendations based on the items I’ve purchased, rated, or expressed interest in, why can’t it stop recommending items already in my wish list? I already know I’d be interested in those things. That’s why they’re in my wish list.

After a brief hiatus, the Spam Reading Club returns with Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. I guess that’s what I get for not speaking like a pirate the other day.

I wonder, though, is Barrie in the public domain?

I’m almost ashamed to admit it, but I didn’t talk like a pirate at all yesterday.
