6. Rehab by Amy Winehouse
9. Season of the Witch, probably not by Donovan but that’s all I know
#1 — Bruce Springsteen, “Born to Run”
did you actually just use rupaul lyrics for 7? i’m a bit surprised, but way to make it interesting. the song is “you better work” or something like that.
and 5 is torn by natalie imbruglia.
have you been listening to a best of the 90’s cd?
-marisa
I’m full of surprises. I don’t actually listen to the RuPaul much, but it’s in there (I think from a mix CD I was sent), and it came up on random.
The “Torn” is actually the original by Ednaswap, which I think I prefer to Imbruglia’s version.
Oh, and Kim, the “Season of the Witch” is by Donovan. Why assume probably not?
I knew Born to Run and Season of the Witch (which is, yes, by Donovan — also covered on the album Bloomfield, Kooper, Stills), but the rest are a mystery to me.
Hole also did a cover of “Season of the Witch,” probably for the soundtrack to some movie I never saw, but I remember it being pretty dreadful. This one was definitely the original by Donovan, though.
