There are a lot of neat stories in Polyphony 6, my favorite probably being Tim Pratt’s “The Crawlspace of the World.” But I think my favorite moment is Hannah Wolf Bowen’s riff on Neuromancer in her story, “For the Sky Is Made of Glass”:

These days, a television tuned to a dead channel is blue: clear skies as far as the eye can see. Our parents lived without faith in machines. We never had the chance.

  1. I’m reminded somewhat of this — “The sky over the port was the color of a television set tuned to PBS.” — from a webcomic by Mark Sachs and a host of others. I didn’t actually participate in the collaborative story that made the comic possible, but I was at the PSSFS party when it happened.
