I had dinner this evening with friends at a very nice vegetarian restaurant. We each got a fortune cookies at the end, and mine read, “Even the greatest of whales is helpless in the middle of a desert.”

Very weird. But that must be used in a story…it’s too good to abandon.
That’s what everybody at dinner said.
I’ve had to two great fortunes over the years. One, which I still keep taped to my computer monitor at work is, “You could prosper in the field of wacky inventions.” The other, which I got back in college, and which I think I have saved somewhere, though I hope I haven’t lost it, is, “Confucius say: Angel with wings not so hot as angel with arms.”
