Late-night randomings

I’m headed to Maryland in something like nine or ten hours. (It’s my sister’s birthday this weekend.) Because I plan on spending at least seven or eight of the hours before that asleep, I won’t have time to post this in the morning. But since I’m, for some reason, still awake, this qualifies as Friday, right?

  1. “Do You Think It’s Alright?” by the Who, guessed (sort of) by Betty
He’s had a few too many
  2. “Alabama Song” by Lotte Lenya (also the Doors), guessed by Eric
I tell you we must die
  3. “Fit But You Know it” by the Streets
Maybe even 9 and a half in four beers time
  4. “Low Rider” by War, guessed by Betty
Take a little trip and see
  5. “Christmas” by the Who, guessed by Betty
He doesn’t know who Jesus was or what praying is
  6. “Velvet Divorce” by Sneaker Pimps
    You let this scandal in
  7. “I Hate Myself for Loving You” by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, guessed by Eric
You said you’d meet me, now it’s quarter to two
  8. “Sinnerman” by Nina Simone
Don’t you see I need you, rock?
  9. “Secret Heart” by Feist
This loneliness, few can bear it
  10. “Ready to Die” by the Unicorns
I woke up thirsty on an island in the sea

As always, guess the lyric, win no prize. And, as always, best of luck.

I will post the remaining answers to last week’s, but it’ll have to wait until I get back on Sunday, I’m afraid.
