The other day, I had Chinese for lunch. My fortune read, “You will overcome many obstacles.” Somebody was definitely trying to tell me something there. That’s right up with the fortune I received the first week of a previous job: “You can always find a way out.”

How can it possibly only be Thursday? Somebody’s been sneaking a few extra days into this week, if you ask me.

On the street yesterday, I heard a guy hawking one of those free news dailies say as part of his pitch, “Don’t be ashamed to read a free newspaper!”

We’re not. We’d be ashamed to read a bad newspaper.

There’s a mass of “Work from Home” spam messages in my in-box. Is somebody trying to tell me something?
