  1. Wow, jut reading the transcript on the blog makes me want to bang my head against a wall. I’m a little afraid to watch the video, lest my head explode from the stupidity. 🙂

  2. In retrospect, IMO the customer should NOT have received a refund because of the rate he SAYS he was quoted.

    If anyone ever quotes you anything, get it in writing. This goes doubly so if they happen to be a sales rep.

    But to “do the right thing” of course you credit the customer, then you yell at your moron customer service rep.

    The issue isn’t what Verizon’s rate was. The issue is that Verizon quoted him a rate of .002 cents because they thought that was exactly the same thing as .002 dollars.

    Verizon can charge whatever they like, but there’s no excuse for this kind of stupidity. Invest in a calculator. Get the accounting department involved. Learn some basic math.
