My to-do list fell into the narrow crack between my desk and the wall. I can recreate most, if not all of it, from memory, but I know I’m going to be nagged by the suspicion that I’m forgetting something important.

Could the missing item be “Push desk tightly against wall”?
No, this desk ain’t moving anywhere. It’s actually more of an L-shaped credenza. It takes up two walls of my cubicle. For all intents and purposes, that original list is gone.
The smarter thing to do is to keep an electronic to-do list. But those tend not to work for me.
I think this is a sign.
Instead of keeping a “To-Do” list, you should keep a “To-Don’t” list.
