Friday on my mind

It was a pretty average Friday here, at least for me. My mother had some minor surgery this morning on her foot — elective, long-planned, and nothing serious, not to worry — but she’s doing fine now. My father stayed home with her all day, while the dog apparently hid or found suddenly important things to do in other rooms. (Nana Dog he most definitely is not.)

I have a three-day weekend myself, thanks to doctor’s appointment first thing Monday morning. I thought about maybe taking just half a sick day, but it seemed easier just to take the day altogether. (Of course, that was before I decided to take Wednesday because of the weather.)

No big plans for the weekend, beyond hopefully watching a movie with friends online and doing some reading and writing.
