I need to clear up some space for the Monty Python Society website. We have, apparently, gone over our 50MB quota. Since there are, and will continue to be, new things to add and there’s not much to delete, the only option seems to be hosting some of the images somewhere else. (Maybe the mp3s, too, but the images are the big problem.) I can move them to my website, but that’s only a temporary solution. My question then, is: does anyone know of any good free website hosting that doesn’t, well, y’know, suck? By which I mean: is fairly reliable, loads reasonably quickly, doesn’t include pop-ups or banner ads, and allows hotlinking directly to images from another website. It’s been awhile since I’ve had to go shopping for hosting, but I do recognize the possibility that such a combination may not exist. Any ideas?
Addendum: Never mind. For the time being, I’m moving some of the photographs to a Yahoo photo album.
2nd addendum: For anyone who’s interested, clearing this space allowed me to start putting this semester’s MPS newsletters online. Issue 1 of “Volume Hedgehog” is here.
