Having neglected to log out of Blogger, I just assumed that when I returned I would find my weblogs waiting for me again. At most, I figured I would have to log in again. Instead, Blogger welcomed me back as “Jackie” and said my weblog was something called “The Times with Alex Johnston”. And apparently it was. I played nice and didn’t make any changes to this person’s account or weblog — in fact, I logged out without even getting the blog’s URL — but it was still a little weird. Of course, this means that, in the future, if I post something nobody likes, I can always blame it on somebody else. Maybe even “Jackie”.
Month: September 2003
Comments have returned, after a fashion. I’m trying out SnorComments2, which were actually quite easy to set up and seem to prove I can use cgi scripts under my current web hosting plan after all. Feel free to comment on something.
I’d do the Friday Five again this week, but it’s all about housekeeping, and all my answers would amount to pretty much the same thing: I don’t like doing it, put off doing it as much as possible, and I don’t find it interesting enough to warrant an actual post.
Fellow capper TRex passes this one along: Programming Language Inventor or Serial Killer?
Due to server troubles, it appears as if I’ll be without a commenting system until next Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. I suppose this could be interpreted as a sign that I ought to re-examine cgiComments and once again attempt to incorporate them here. But I drove myself batty the last time I tried that, and I still don’t know why I couldn’t get it to work. (My only encouragement was getting it to malfunction differently that time.)
In the meantime, if you’ve wanted to comment on any of the posts I’ve made since last Friday — what? you haven’t — or any of my other posts, feel free to drop me a line.
