Once more from the top…

Last week. This week:

  1. “Claudette” by Roy Orbison
When I see her tonight I’m gonna squeeze her to death
  2. “Does Anybody Really Know What Time it Is?” by Chicago, guessed by Thud
A pretty lady looked at me and said her diamond watch had stopped cold dead
  3. “Let’s Live it Up” by the Brian Setzer Orchestra
You only go around once on this big spinnin’ planet of love
  4. “Oh My God” by Pink w/ Peaches, guessed by Kim
Put me on the table, make me say your name
  5. “’39” by Queen, guessed by Eric B.
For my life, still ahead, pity me
  6. “Tonight” by TV on the Radio
We’ll skip to the final line of some suicide note well publicized
  7. “It’s All Been Done” by Barenaked Ladies, guessed by Betty
And if I put my fingers here, and if I say, “I love you, dear”
  8. “Lookin’ for a Love” by Neil Young, guessed by Eric B.
She’ll be nothing like I pictured her to be
  9. “High Time We Went” by Joe Cocker
Somebody’s been shouting, “Don’t forget the lemon and lime”
  10. “Trip Through Your Wires” by U2, guessed by Eric B.
I was naked in the clothes you made

Best of luck!

Arts and leisure

Would anyone happen to know how to close a Pixish assignment? I’ve picked and contacted the winners for mine, and I’m done judging, but I can’t get it to close. Maybe it happens automatically, after like a week — and if so, fine — but I can’t find any information, and they’ve yet to answer my e-mail.

Just some stuff I’ve got lying around

Improv-ments

If you’re going to be in New York this weekend, my friend Remi — whose terrific artwork you may have seen in the second, third and fourth issues of Kaleidotrope — will be performing with his improv group as part of the Del Close Marathon on Sunday. Weekend passes, which you can buy at the door, will get you in to see not just Proletariat Princess’ show, but a whole weekend of great improv comedy. Sitting is still a sometimes iffy proposition for me*, so I don’t know if I’ll make it for all of that. But I do hope to stop by for at least a little bit on Sunday afternoon.

Check it out!

* I think the herniated disc is getting a little better, and I have my second steroid injection this afternoon, but a whole day (much less weekend) of sitting just doesn’t sound like a good idea.
