Has anyone else come across the pop-up animated ad for the new Hulk movie? The screen shakes, there’s a roar, and it’s impossible to close or type anything until the video starts to play. Why do advertisers still think making the Internet more difficult to use is a good way to sell product?

My boss is out of the country in Italy. Someone who knows this sent him an e-mail late yesterday asking him to complete a form and send it back today. I cannot complete the form on my own, and there is a six-hour time difference between here and Italy that makes contacting my boss somewhat difficult. When I called, his hotel suggested I try again at seven o’clock their time. The person who sent the e-mail is also unavailable and will apparently remain so until at least two o’clock our time. E-mail sent to the address specified bounces back.
None of this, I realize, is particularly important or interesting. I’m just venting.
As Irregular Webcomic points out, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be available in bookstores this Saturday. Am I the only one who doesn’t care?
In the past, I’ve amused myself (and apparently no one else) by posting odd reviews from Amazon.com. It’s nice to see I’m not the only one. Found through Maximum Verbosity.
