It played almost as an attempt to zero out what Danny Boyle and Frank Cottrell Boyce achieved and said in the Opening.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I have to admit, I didn&#8217;t watch it. By that point, my Olympic fever had waned a bit, and I didn&#8217;t really feel like putting up with NBC&#8217;s ridiculous editing and inane chatter to watch the closing. (&#8220;Our viewers may not know this, Meredith, but the Pet Shop <i>Boys<\/i> are in fact actually now grown <i>men<\/i>!&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>But the opening ceremonies were mad and brilliant.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s bad enough they&#8217;re planning an <i>Expendables 3<\/i> &#8212; shouldn&#8217;t last hurrahs, y&#8217;know, end? &#8212; but now they have to talk about <a href=\"\nhttp:\/\/www.avclub.com\/articles\/clint-eastwood-harrison-ford-nicolas-cage-and-wesl,83743\/\">dragging Clint Eastwood and others into it<\/a>?<br \/>\n<blockquote><p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve already begun reaching out to the bones of Steve McQueen and the John Wayne hologram\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u201dAvi Lerner, The Expendables 4 interview, 2014<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Although, honestly, that might finally get me to watch one of these things.<\/li>\n<li>Amazingly enough, a campaign to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/07\/02\/zombie-apocalaypse-detroit-theme-park_n_1644298.html\">turn an abandoned Detroit neighborhood into a zombie apocalypse theme park<\/a> has fallen through. [<a href=\"http:\/\/gerrycanavan.wordpress.com\/\" title=\"Gerry Canavan\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>Are young people <i>really<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/grammar.quickanddirtytips.com\/grammar-yo-pronoun.aspx\">using &#8220;yo&#8221; as a gender-neutral pronoun<\/a>?
