Just the crossword puzzle and a lot of <i>Kaleidotrope<\/i> reading. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m down to about twenty or so submissions still waiting to be read, which is good because the zine opens back up to submissions at the start of July. I don&#8217;t know that I&#8217;m going to advertise that fact all too much, if only to give myself a little bit of breathing room. I&#8217;m still figuring out how many stories I can afford to print every issue at the new rate of a cent a word &#8212; especially with no money coming in &#8212; and right now I need to focus first on getting the Summer issue on <i>this<\/i> year up in a timely fashion.<\/p>\n<p>But stuff that comes in starting next Sunday&#8230;well, I guess I&#8217;m going to have to read it.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, though, I&#8217;ve just sent out a small batch of fifty rejection letters, so I could use a small break.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nary a boat nor a fish to be seen today.
