My father was already on his way out, so he knocked on my door and asked if I could take the dog. And so at that point, sometime around 6:30, I figured I might as well just stay up. I ended up catching the 7 o&#8217;clock train into Manhattan and, despite a delayed subway and the place where I bought breakfast being insanely over-crowded, I got to the office a little after 8.<\/p>\n<p>After which, it was mostly just a regular Friday. I&#8217;m pretty tired now, but that&#8217;s to be expected.<\/p>\n<p>I can tell you this much: if the dog needs walking first thing <i>tomorrow<\/i> morning, I&#8217;ll still do it, but then I&#8217;m going back to bed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Woke up early, thanks to a barking dog who convinced my father he had to go out.
