Well this week has certainly sucked. I’ve been home sick since Tuesday, unable to eat and just barely able to drink, harboring what I was told was most probably strep throat and would start to go away with antibiotics. Only it hasn’t started to go away, and I still feel horrible. Every time I take even a small sip of water, I have to grab hold of something and fight the urge to cry out in pain. And most of what I drink ends up getting spit back up into one of many towels I’ve taken to carrying around with me. Lovely, no? I’ll spare you stories of my phlegm. Tomorrow, I will call my new doctor again. The antibiotics haven’t helped any so far — if anything my throat is worse — and I’m worried it could be tonsillitis or worse, and I could become dehydrated.
