Now it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s up to us to misinterpret them.&#8221; I liked the episode a whole lot.<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>Meanwhile, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfx.co.uk\/2010\/05\/03\/guest-blog-terry-pratchett-on-doctor-who\/\">Terry Pratchett<\/a> is maybe a little harsher than I would be about <em>Doctor Who<\/em> and the title character&#8217;s <em>deus ex machinations<\/em>. I&#8217;m not entirely convinced there&#8217;s real value in rigidly defining science fiction and fantasy this way. (And, unlike him, &#8220;Small Worlds&#8221; is one of my least favorite <em>Torchwood<\/em> episodes.) But he makes some good points, while still happy to enjoy the show for what it is. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cynical-c.com\" title=\"Cynical-C\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>Speaking of <em>Doctor Who<\/em>, here&#8217;s an interesting take on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.revolutionsf.com\/article.php?id=4891\">The Comparative Lives of the Doctor<\/a>.<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>Here&#8217;s a scary thought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/05\/20\/movies\/20looney.html?partner=rss&amp;emc=rss\">from the <em>New York Times<\/em><\/a>:<br \/>\n<blockquote><p><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\">Ask a first grader to identify Bugs Bunny and the response more likely than not will be a blank stare.<\/font><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\">And finally, <a href=\"http:\/\/entertainment.timesonline.co.uk\/tol\/arts_and_entertainment\/books\/article7131847.ece\">Neil Gaiman on Ray Bradbury<\/a> [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsfromme.com\/\" title=\"Mark Evanier\">via<\/a>]:<\/font><br \/>\n<blockquote><p><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\">So when the wind blows the fallen autumn leaves across the road in a riot of flame and gold, or when I see a green field in summer carpeted by yellow dandelions, or when, in winter, I close myself off from the cold and write in a room with a TV screen as big as a wall, I think of Ray Bradbury . . .<\/font><\/font><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/font><\/li>\n<p><\/font><\/font><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It probably should come as no surprise, but I&#8217;m pretty much in complete agreement with Noel Murray about last night&#8217;s Lost finale. &#8220;These are the new myths.
