This is simultaneously a ridiculous and very cool use of the device.<\/li>\n<p><\/font> <font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>Also at the crossroads of the ridiculous and very cool (with a little bit of creepy thrown in): <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wdwnewstoday.com\/2010\/05\/05\/new-living-character-meet-and-greets-being-tested\/\">Dinseyland&#8217;s new Living Character technology<\/a>. There is a little &#8220;Uncanny Valley&#8221; action going on here, but none of the children in the audience seem too perturbed. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.waxy.org\/links\/\" title=\"Waxy.org Links\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>I was glad to hear that author Peter Watts <a href=\"http:\/\/file770.com\/?p=3701\">will not be serving jail time<\/a> for an incident that happened at the US\/Canadian border <a href=\"http:\/\/nielsenhayden.com\/makinglight\/archives\/011966.html\">back in December<\/a>. But I&#8217;m still ashamed that this is the way we (sometimes) treat our visitors in this country.
