When did the caustic character actor guaranteed to liven up even the dullest movie turn into a walking black hole of smarm from which no joy can escape?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\">I&#8217;m guessing sometime around the beginning of <em>Entourage<\/em>.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"> <\/font><\/font><\/li>\n<p><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>I am strangely unimpressed by this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/33604\/toy-fanatic-builds-a-house-from-lego\/#more-33604\">LEGO dreamhouse<\/a>. <font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\">[<a href=\"http:\/\/gerrycanavan.blogspot.com\/\" title=\"Gerry Canavan\">via<\/a><\/font><\/font><\/font>]<a href=\"http:\/\/gerrycanavan.blogspot.com\/\" title=\"Gerry Canavan\"><\/a> Much less with recent news of <a href=\"http:\/\/scifiwire.com\/2009\/08\/warner-to-make-lego-movie.php\">a planned LEGO movie<\/a>. I didn&#8217;t have an issue with their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/08\/11\/business\/11lego.html?_r=1&amp;partner=rss&amp;emc=rss\">decision to prohibit<\/a> a short film from appearing on the new <em>Spinal Tap<\/em> DVD, but that was mostly because <em>they<\/em> didn&#8217;t have an issue with it&#8217;s staying put on YouTube. Maybe it&#8217;s time to admit that, while I played with LEGO as a child, it holds no real special place in my heart. (I was much more fond of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Construx\">Construx<\/a>, actually.)<\/li>\n<p><\/font><\/font><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrenellis.com\/?p=7525\">newspaper printed on a shopping bag<\/a> is an interesting experiment, but did it have to be on a <em>plastic<\/em> shopping bag? I don&#8217;t think the way to save a dying industry is by helping to kill the planet. Besides, just <em>try<\/em> do the crossword puzzle on one of those things!
