But I can still remember when Python reunions were rare events, and a little part of me kind of misses that. That said, when I read the award ceremony would be held in New York, I absolutely did wonder about the possibility of getting tickets. (Unlikely, I know, and probably just as well. That&#8217;s the evening of my sister&#8217;s wedding rehearsal &#8212; which, as a groomsman and her brother, I should probably attend.)<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>Speaking of comedy reunions, the Kids in the Hall are get back together again&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvsquad.com\/2009\/08\/19\/the-kids-in-the-hall-reunite-for-a-murder-mystery-miniseries\/\">for a murder mystery miniseries<\/a>? It sounds interesting if nothing else.<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.avclub.com\/articles\/today-in-puzzling-remake-news-robert-zemeckis-to-r,31942\/?utm_medium=RSS&amp;utm_campaign=feeds&amp;utm_source=channel_film\">Remaking <em>Yellow Submarine<\/em><\/a>? In &#8220;that creepy 3-D motion-capture technology&#8221; used in <em>The Polar Express<\/em> and <em>Beowulf<\/em>? Okay, Robert Zemeckis needs to be stopped.<\/li>\n<p><\/font><font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana\"><\/p>\n<li>So you say you&#8217;ve never read Bradley Denton&#8217;s award-winning SF novel <em>Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede<\/em>, and you&#8217;d like to do so before <a href=\"http:\/\/www.variety.com\/article\/VR1118007220.html?categoryid=1238&amp;cs=1\">the movie version<\/a> comes out? Well, Mr. or Ms. Hypothetical-Type-Person, you&#8217;re in luck: Denton is making a free, Creative-Commons-licensed copy available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bradleydenton.net\/\">at his website<\/a>. It&#8217;s been years since I read the book, but I remember being pleasantly surprised at the time.
