Seriously, people, <em>30 Rock<\/em> is damn funny.<\/li>\n<p><\/font> <font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<li>A bookstore <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlive.com\/businessreview\/western\/index.ssf\/2008\/10\/grand_rapids_bookstore_tries_f.html\">with a liquor license<\/a>? You know, if that&#8217;s what it takes to get people to buy more books&#8230;<\/li>\n<p><\/font> <font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<li>But do we really need <em>another<\/em> social networking site, this one <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publishersweekly.com\/article\/CA6608722.html\">tied to Barnes &amp; Noble<\/a>?<\/li>\n<p><\/font> <font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelpalinforpresident.com\">Michael Palin for President<\/a> suggests replacing all future Presidential debates &#8220;with bouts of Fish Slapping.&#8221; I can get behind that!<\/li>\n<p><\/font> <font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<li>In the <em>Wicked<\/em> Playbill, there&#8217;s an interview with Frank Langella, in which he says of his <em>Frost\/Nixon<\/em> director, &#8220;Ron Howard doesn&#8217;t <em>think<\/em> in less than 20 takes&#8230;&#8221;<\/li>\n<p><\/font> <font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<li>Just how much of <em>Frankenstein<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.com\/free\/v55\/i11\/11b01201.htm\">did Mary Shelley write<\/a>?  I&#8217;m fascinated by this sort of thing, and I&#8217;m reminded of the relationship between Raymond Carver <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/10\/17\/books\/17carver.html\">and his first editor Gordon Lish<\/a> There, too, questions over authorship and the role of an editor have arisen &#8212; so much so that it&#8217;s not always to say what&#8217;s the definitive authorial voice. (Or just pretend to.
