So you get, for instance, something <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/nphotos\/San-Diego-June-Coca-Cola\/photo\/\/081003\/photos_od\/2008_10_03t185839_305x450_us_ignobels\/;_ylt=ArqKyRi6v6FkE93bfpqrt6yYWMcF\">like this<\/a>, which offers nothing beyond the very unhelpful caption of &#8220;A can of Coca-Cola is pictured in San Diego June 23, 2008.&#8221; Which raises questions but doesn&#8217;t answer any. Is it a story about Coca-Cola, San Diego, late June of 2008? It&#8217;s part of their &#8220;Odd News,&#8221; so it could be interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out it&#8217;s about the <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/news.ars\/post\/20081003-2008-ig-nobels-honor-best-weirdest-scientific-research.html\">2008 Ig Noble Awards<\/a>, which in part revealed the effectiveness of Coca-Cola as a spermicide.
