Unless, of course, it&#8217;s a sharp stick in the eye, which has about the same effect<sup>*<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, Christmas was a fairly low-key event around here today. We had planned on visiting my aunt and step-uncle for an early holiday dinner this afternoon, but they unfortunately have the flu. So I spent most of the day lounging about and enjoying some of my Christmas presents. (<i>The Best of the Colbert Report<\/i> is in the DVD player right now.) We had a nice dinner with another aunt and uncle last night, but this evening it was just be my parents, my sister, and me.<\/p>\n<p>Hope you&#8217;re having a safe and happy holiday&#8230;or Tuesday. It <i>is<\/i> Tuesday, right? Honestly, I&#8217;ve lost track. The past few days have gone by pretty quickly.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"2\">* How bad is it?
