I&#8217;ve had a tough enough time explaining <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jrblackwell\/1263607370\/\">my current desktop image<\/a> to office co-workers. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.edrants.com\/\" title=\"Ed Champion\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>There once was a starship, the <i>USS Nantucket<\/i>&#8230; A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spacewesterns.com\/contest\/\">Space Western Limerick Contest<\/a> [<a href=\"http:\/\/whedonesque.com\/\" title=\"Whedonesque\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Is this the end of zombie Shakespeare?&#8221; I have no idea if this production is any good, but c&#8217;mon: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.impetuoustheater.org\/12th07.html\"><i>12th Night of the Living Dead<\/i><\/a>? How can you not grin at a title like that? [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsignal.com\/\" title=\"SF Signal\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>I think what I like best about this list of <a href=\"http:\/\/moviesdigger.com\/10-dumb-moments-in-sci-fi-cinema\/\">10 Dumb Moments in Sci-Fi Cinema<\/a> is the &#8220;Why we don&#8217;t care&#8221; part at the end. It&#8217;s worth noting that a movie can fail spectacularly in logic or as science fiction and still be entertaining. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsignal.com\/\" title=\"SF Signal\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.naplesnews.com\/news\/2007\/oct\/13\/ben_bova_what_if_phenomena_arent_really_natural\/\">Ben Bova wonders<\/a>, &#8220;What if some of the startling things that astronomers see are not entirely natural? What if they are caused by the actions of intelligent creatures?&#8221; [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsignal.com\/\" title=\"SF Signal\">via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>J.K. Rowling discusses the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtv.com\/news\/articles\/1572107\/20071017\/index.jhtml\">Christian imagery in <i>Harry Potter<\/i><\/a>. Is it wrong that I sort of wish she hadn&#8217;t? That&#8217;s sort of what <i>Babylon Fields<\/i> was supposed to be. And, having now seen <a href=\"http:\/\/video.google.com\/videoplay?docid=3315295143249630002&#038;q=%22babylon+fields%22&#038;total=2&#038;start=0&#038;num=10&#038;so=0&#038;type=search&#038;plindex=0\">the pilot episode<\/a>, I really wish CBS had given this one a chance. It&#8217;s not perfect, but it would have been one of the more interesting shows of the season. If you have forty minutes to kill (and it&#8217;s still up there), I&#8217;d recommend it.
