Yet, inexplicably, it&#8217;s a positive review. Imagine what that Chabon could accomplish if he&#8217;d just write serious fiction for a change!<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>&#8220;Everyone felt very strongly that we needed a white character or a part-white, part-Indian character to carry a contemporary white audience through this project,&#8221; Daniel Giat, the writer who adapted the book for HBO Films, told a group of television writers earlier this year.\n<p>And that&#8217;s from the <i>New York Times<\/i><sup>2<\/sup>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/05\/09\/arts\/television\/09knee.html?_r=pagewanted=1&#038;oref=slogin\" title=\"Classic Book About America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Indians Gains a Few Flourishes as a Film\">on a new adaptation of <i>Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee<\/i><\/a>. So is that the highest goal of art nowadays?
