Maybe if I was Canadian; maybe if it was a better movie and did a better job of even attempting to explain the sport. But, really, it just seems like a lot of fairly decent actors trapped in some lame and obvious writing. There are amusing moments, but not enough of them. I think, having recently watched for the first time the first two seasons of <i><a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/title\/tt0387779\/\">Slings and Arrows<\/a><\/i> (and before that, re-watched the pilot episode of <a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/title\/tt0194607\/\"><i>Due South<\/i><\/a>, I was expecting more from star (and director) Paul Gross. But ultimately this movie was a disappointment.<\/p>\n<p>And it didn&#8217;t do a damn thing to make me care about curling.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Men With Brooms almost &#8212; almost &#8212; made me care about curling, but no, I still just don&#8217;t get it.
