It&#8217;s nice to have the option of flipping through a book, as you would in a regular meat-space bookstore, and it&#8217;s made my job as an editorial assistant <i>so<\/i> much easier on many occasions. But the &#8220;SIP&#8221; thing seemed a little silly when I first read about it (somewhere else). And I had yet to see it in any real kind of action on the Amazon website.<\/p>\n<p>That being said, it&#8217;s with some amusement that I notice the SIP&#8217;s for Michael Palin&#8217;s new book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0297843710\/qid=1118251800\/sr=1-2\/ref=sr_1_2\/103-9039430-9514241?v=glance&#038;s=books\"><i>Himalaya<\/i><\/a>, which are, in order:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>necked cranes, mani stones, yak dung, yak butter, butter tea<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yak butter and yak dung.
