{"id":14793,"date":"2026-05-03T11:04:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-03T15:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unreality.net\/weblog\/?p=14793"},"modified":"2026-05-03T11:04:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-03T15:04:33","slug":"monthly-story-time-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unreality.net\/weblog\/?p=14793","title":{"rendered":"Monthly Story Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I read just two books in April:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Things That Fall From the Sky<\/em> by Kevin Brockmeier<\/li>\n<li><em>Cards on the Table<\/em> by Agatha Christie<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was a busy month, what with my <a href=\"https:\/\/flickr.com\/photos\/81595350@N00\/albums\/72177720333173227\">trip to Belgium and the Netherlands<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/kaleidotrope.net\/\">Kaleidotrope<\/a> re-opening to submissions for the first time in over a year. (I&#8217;m back from my trip, and Kaleidotrope is now closed, but I&#8217;m still reading submissions.)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I made an occasional effort to read a few other, published, short stories, but I just managed the one short story collection and the (slight, but fun) Christie novel.
