I don&#8217;t think there was a <em>better<\/em> movie to be made from their comedy but I can&#8217;t overstate how not funny the one they actually made is.<\/li>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/\">The Hunt<\/a> isn\u2019t terrible. This one is  mostly just tedious and confusing.<\/li>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0094669\/\">Appointment with Death<\/a> is a little meandering as a mystery, but it&#8217;s a fun hangout with these characters.<\/li>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<li>Leonard Maltin reportedly called 1945&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0037539\/\">Bewitched<\/a> and &#8220;interesting idea, especially for its time, but heavy-handed.&#8221; That sounds about right.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also rewatched the <em>Red Riding<\/em> trilogy\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1259574\/\">1974<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1260581\/\">1980<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1259573\/\">1983<\/a>. They didn&#8217;t quite hold up for me as well as I remember, maybe partly because I remembered to plot better than I thought and wasn&#8217;t surprised, or maybe just because the whole thing is fairly bleak.
