I&#8217;m not sure how much the world of musical theater needs something like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scifi.com\/scifiwire\/art-main.html?2004-09\/24\/10.00.film\" title=\"Musical Starfighter Opening\">this<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Although, in all fairness, it is <i>off<\/i>-Broadway, so maybe it&#8217;s not really a sign of the coming apocalypse or anything. (Unlike, of course, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajmadison.com\/cgi-bin\/ajmadison\/LRSC26980.html\" title=\"TV Refrigerator with FM Stereo \">this<\/a>, which I&#8217;ve got to agree with <a href=\"http:\/\/idle-musings.blogspot.com\/\">Eric<\/a> probably is.) And to be honest, I have kind of fond memories of <i><a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/title\/tt0087597\/\">The Last Starfighter<\/a><\/i> film, too. (Although, in all fairness to <i>me<\/i>, I was about <i>seven<\/i> when I saw it in theaters.)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m just left to wonder, again, if we&#8217;ve run out of ideas for, y&#8217;know, <i>original<\/i> musicals.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have enough trouble with the idea of musicals based on films I love.
