I don&#8217;t think the problem is that de Armas and Evans don&#8217;t have chemistry; it&#8217;s just that it&#8217;s not at all <em>romantic<\/em> chemistry, and they both become kind of insufferable here. The movie falls apart a little near the ened, and by some reports, Steve McQueen&#8217;s angry stoicism might have been less an acting choice and just him being an asshole. But it&#8217;s neat, often inventive little war picture that I really enjoyed.<\/li>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<li>Wanna <em>flee<\/em> old? You will, once you start watching it. I&#8217;ve never read the comic on which the movie is based, so I don\u2019t know if there were better ways to make this weird premise actually work visually, but Shyamalan hits upon the worst possible ways, and his dialogue is beyond terrible. There are some good actors here, but they don&#8217;t really rise above the material, and the almost obligatory twist ending belabors its point and doesn&#8217;t even work on its own terms. He didn&#8217;t miss much.<\/li>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt13885492\/\">Little Richard: I Am Everything<\/a> is a straightforward but never uninteresting look at the man&#8217;s complicated legacy and incredible talent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also re-watched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0075314\/\">Taxi Driver<\/a>, which seems no less disturbing nearly 50 years later.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I watched 8 movies last week.
