That was weird.<\/li>\n<li>I revisited State College, Pennsylvania, where I used to live thirteen years ago. That was weirder.<\/li>\n<li>My parents got a new dog, Finn. So by extension I got him too.<\/li>\n<li>One of my uncles passed away. He was 83.<\/li>\n<li>I went to Florida. I went to Paris. I went to Finland. I went to Charlottesville. I went to San Antonio. I liked all of those places.<\/li>\n<li>I published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unreality.net\/weblog\/?p=12202\">three short stories<\/a>, including one I sold over a year ago.<\/li>\n<li>I saw <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/list\/ls062040639\">150 movies<\/a>. That might be a lot. That&#8217;s not bad, but less than in years past.<\/li>\n<li>I read 25 books. That&#8217;s better than I thought, to be honest, and a little up from recent years. But I still like to be reading more.\n<div id=\"w4f94213d49b5b696870d868809274a1f\"><\/div>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" charset=\"UTF-8\" src=\"https:\/\/www.librarything.com\/widget_get.php?userid=unrealfred&#038;theID=w4f94213d49b5b696870d868809274a1f\"><\/script><noscript><a href=\"http:\/\/www.librarything.com\/profile\/unrealfred\">My Library<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.librarything.com\">LibraryThing<\/a><\/noscript><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>I listened to some music. These were the songs I liked most:\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/videoseries?list=PL62qRURJS1HDTebL2PNTjw9WrXwVEFk7n\" frameborder=\"0\" gesture=\"media\" allow=\"encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that was 2017. Nothing of any other consequence happened that year. Nope, no sir.<\/p>\n<p>So yeah, obviously things were kind of a mess globally, politically&#8211;and will likely continue to be so for some time&#8211;but things were also fairly okay personally. I&#8217;ve had better years, maybe, but I&#8217;ve had worse. I&#8217;m hopeful for 2018. Partly because&#8230;well, you&#8217;ve gotta be.
